1. What are the operating costs of the dryer?
Operating costs of the dryer depend on the material, the tonnage, and also the input
and target moisture content. Typically 50 tonnes per hour, drying sand from 10% down to 0.5% would cost £0.66 per
tonne.

3. Can our products be tested by the LamiFloTM System?
There is a test facility set up, which can test your products. The cost of the
test depends on the material, but is generally £4,000 per test, backed with a full report, giving moisture

5. Does the drying process generate fugitive dust emissions?
There is no fugitive dust emissions from the drying process, as the system is totally
sealed.
6. Does the dryer need heat to dry materials such as sands, china clay, lime or
chalks?
The drying process does not rely on heat to remove the moisture from the materials,
hence negating the requirement for gas, gasoil, diesel or LPG.

10. How often does the LamiFloTM System need maintaining?
Maintenance of the system is carried out by L F Pumping (Europe) Ltd, as part of our
agreement with you, the client, included in our original price. There are no cracking of welds, popping of
bolts and rivets like vibratory dryers or intense heat source like fluid bed dryers, so the LamiFloTM
System is the ultimate low maintenance drying system, with only 2 moving parts.
